Taylor Steinbauer
I am a Limited License Social Worker who believes that therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and clinician to address acute and long-term challenges in order to live a more mindful, fulfilling, and confident lifestyle. The therapeutic process involves personal growth which can sometimes be uncomfortable or confusing, so it is important to work with someone who will be receptive to your concerns and respectful of your choices. Over the past 7 years I have worked with a diverse population of individuals using a person-centered approach to counseling, as each individual person faces their own unique challenges and will benefit from different methods of treatment depending on their needs and strengths. Your counseling services will be provided in a comfortable and safe space, with time dedicated to developing a strong therapeutic alliance in which you are able to work through challenges at your preferred pace, without judgement. Empathy, compassion, and acceptance are the values by which I approach therapy, as these qualities are key to your experience as a client.
I have experience working with mental health concerns such as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Personality Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Co-Occurring Disorders. I also have training and experience working with Substance Use Disorders and individuals struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or Complex PTSD. In addition, I am accepting clients who may be experiencing concerns related to LGBTQ relationships and lifestyle, individuals facing domestic violence, and those who are re-entering the community following incarceration. I am able to provide both in person and telehealth counseling based on your preferences and lifestyle.
Whether you are facing recent challenges in your life or have been experiencing long term difficulties in these areas, I am committed to working with you to achieve positive outcomes in an alliance where you feel seen, heard, and accepted.
